DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – AMA Pro Racing and Dunlop Motorcycle Tires are excited to announce a renewed, multi-year partnership with the recently-rebranded American Flat Track series. Dunlop will hold the exclusive category rights as Official Motorcycle Tire Supplier for the series and will extend their support into the marketing, competition and broadcast efforts over the next three years.

“Dunlop has more than proven their dedication to motorcycle sport over the years, and we are proud to expand our partnership with them,” said Michael Lock, CEO of AMA Pro Racing. “Starting in 2017, Dunlop will put more money into the paddock by substantially increase their contingency. This shows just how much they care about the paddock and how serious they are about joining us as partners as we build a bright new future for the sport.”

Starting in 2017, Dunlop will increase their per-race contingency payout to riders by nearly 300% and will pay contingency in both the AFT Twins and AFT Singles classes. At select rounds for the AFT Twins class, the tire manufacturer will begin to offer two rear tire options, giving each rider the opportunity to select their preferred compound.

The tire choices selected by each rider will be featured in an all-new pre-race “Tire Talk” segment during live broadcasts on FansChoice.tv. These editorial pieces will also explain the technology and performance characteristics of Dunlop tires through feature content and interviews with American Flat Track riders and Dunlop representatives.

“Dunlop’s commitment to motorcycle racing reaches all disciplines of the sport, and we’re especially proud to be the official tire of American Flat Track,” said Mike Buckley, Dunlop Motorcycle’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Flat Track racing is a uniquely American sport, and it aligns perfectly with Dunlop’s position as the only brand developing and manufacturing motorcycle tires in America—including the DT3 flat track tire. We applaud AMA Pro’s dedication to growing the sport of Flat Track racing, and we’re thrilled to extend our official tire relationship with the series for three more years.”

As a thank you to the fans, Dunlop will give back through social media giveaways awarding lucky winners with Dunlop Tire Certificates. These giveaways will allow fans to experience the true #RideDunlop experience, equipping them with the same rubber that the super stars of American Flat Track compete on every weekend.

The Dunlop Fan Walk will once again take place at every round in 2017, and fans will now know where to enter the paddock by looking for the new Dunlop Arch. Once inside the paddock, fans will have the chance to meet the top dirt-track motorcycle riders in the world, as well as the tire specialists who engineer the latest tire technology driving every rider on the circuit.
