Miguel Duhamel wowed the Infineon Raceway crowd Sunday with a last-lap, last-corner pass on Erion Honda’s Jake Zemke to win the fifth AMA Superbike race of the 2004 season.

Zemke led most of the race, and had a 1.9-second lead at the start of the last lap, but finished second.

Yoshimura Suzuki’s Aaron Yates battled down to the wire with teammate Mat Mladin, and finished third.

Mladin, who experienced bike problems–running wide several times–and caught a few bad breaks in traffic, took fourth, well clear of fifth-place Ben Bostrom.

DXS Diablo Suzuki’s Steve Crevier, Attack Kawasaki’s Josh Hayes, Triangle Cycles Yamaha’s Larry Pegram, Prieto Racing’s Geoff May and KWS Millennium Suzuki’s Shawn Higbee rounded out the top 10.
