US National Endurance Series Adds a Class and Registration Procedure

The US National Endurance Series (USNE) will have its opening round March 21, 2015, at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. For this season, the class Super Dinosaur has been added to accommodate older model, unlimited displacement machines, with some exceptions. This class is the same as CMRA’s Modern Classic Endurance. Please see the CMRA rulebook for class specifications.

Post entry is available at the track starting on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 3 pm. Tech will also be opening at three on Friday, March 20. The detailed weekend schedule is available for download here:http://www.cmraracing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=574&d=1425412370

Forms required to sign up a team and register for the USNE include a CMRA License Application for all team riders, an Endurance Team Registration Form, and a Championship Endurance Entry Form. For the purpose of the US National Endurance Series, the CMRA license is free (no CMRA points) with a copy of a current road race license from an approved road racing organization. If your team also wants CMRA points, each member of the team must purchase a CMRA license. A one-weekend license is available one time per season. All forms are available at the track.

All CMRA Championship Endurance teams will be automatically entered into US National Endurance.

Gridding for this event for the visiting USNE teams will be grid insertion done accordingly, so they will not be starting from the back. Further details will be announced at the mandatory riders briefing Saturday morning.

The US National Endurance series classes are: Heavyweight, Middleweight, Lightweight, and Super Dinosaur.

Visiting teams with conflicting numbers can keep their race number, but will be required to run an “X” after it on their number plates.

Visiting racers are also eligible to compete in the sprint races on Sunday with their weekend license.

A Friday practice day on March 20, 2015, is available through Lone Star Track Days. Information and registration are here: http://www.lstd.com/html/sor.html.
