SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — CT Racing announced today that the respected motorcycle club-racing trackside product distributor will offer sales and support for Yoshimura R&D products at all rounds of the American Federation of Motorcyclists series (AFM), beginning this weekend (April 29-30) during Round 2 of the 2017 AFM Race Season, at Sonoma Raceway.

A legendary manufacturer of high-performance aftermarket exhaust systems, Yoshimura was started in 1954 by renowned tuner Hideo “Pops” Yoshimura and currently supports some of the top race teams in the world, including Yoshimura Suzuki in MotoAmerica and Team Honda HRC in AMA Supercross. The company has recently been working closely with the AFM and CT Racing to identify mufflers and inserts capable of helping motorcycles comply with the strict sound limits enforced by Sonoma Raceway and the AFM (103db and 101db, respectively, measured at 50 feet from the center of the track). Along with Yoshimura’s full exhaust systems, CT Racing will carry longer muffler options as well as inserts and replacement muffler packing kits.

“I’m very pleased to add Yoshimura’s proven exhaust products to our range of trackside offerings at AFM club races,” said CT Racing President Corey Neuer. “Few companies can match Yoshimura’s reputation for racing success, and the work they’re doing with AFM to meet Sonoma Raceway’s sound limit while still producing ample power demonstrates their commitment to club racing. Yoshimura will make an excellent addition to our already-strong offerings for serious club racers.”

CT Racing, which will continue to offer the full lines of Pirelli road race tires and Metzler supermoto tires, currently has a few remaining select sponsorship opportunities. Interested riders should call 831-419-9680 for more information.
