Danny Kelsey will continue to use Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa and Diablo Superbike tires for 2014. Kelsey completed contracts with South Central Race Center on October 26 to ensure Kelsey will continue to win in CMRA and WERA racing. Kelsey began the year as a newly contracted rider and wasted no time maximizing the performance of the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa enroute to victory in his first race on the tire. As the season progressed, Kelsey racked up 44 wins in CMRA Sprint Championship Series racing action as well as five class championships and the overall expert championship. During the course of the season, Kelsey also posted 2 track records. “We were really focused on elevating our program this year, and Pirelli was a big part of our success. Two CMRA track records, five class championships, and the expert overall #1 plate were our goals as the season started…and all were achieved. I really believe next year will be even better now that we have a solid baseline of knowledge of the tires,” stated RPSRaceTeam.com lead pilot Danny S. Kelsey. John Hutchinson of South Central Race Center noted, “We obviously were excited about the results Danny (Kelsey) achieved this year. He made a solid step up in his racing career and it was rewarding to see him achieving that with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa and Superbike tires. “ Danny Kelsey will contest the CMRA Sprint Championship Series in 2014 in addition to select WERA events.
