Bridgestone Posts Nearly $90,000 In Contingency For Inaugural CVMA Race Season

Bridgestone will offer racers at Southern California’s newest motorcycle road racing series nearly $90,000 in contingency awards during the upcoming 2011 Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association race season. The Chuckwalla Valley Open Shootout will offer the greatest contingency payout, with $750 available for the podium finishers, and contingency will be offered in every one of the club’s competition categories. In addition, contingency money will be awarded in the CVMA Team Challenge, a one-hour, two-rider endurance contest on the Saturday of race weekends. In total, Bridgestone riders racing at Chuckwalla will be competing for a share of $89,400 in contingency money. Bridgestone offers its BT-003 DOT-approved race tire for a wide variety of road racing machines, and offers slicks for race bikes ranging from 125cc GP machines to literbikes. The Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association owned and operated by motorcycle racers and enthusiasts will host a six-round, doubleheader series in 2011 on the newest road circuit in Southern California. Easily accessible from the Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix metropolitan areas, the 2.68-mile Ed Bargy-designed course was created with motorcycle road racing in mind.
