American Benny Solis of North Hollywood, California is competing in the final event of the Racing Bike Capital Series this weekend at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. Last year, Solis, 18, finished second in the 600cc Expert race on Saturday of the doubleheader series finale weekend, and won on Sunday, riding a Yamaha YZF-R6 for NC Racing. Solis is riding a Honda CBR600RR with support from NC Racing this weekend. “Returning to Mexico City for the Racing Bike Capital Finale is very exciting,” Solis told Roadracingworld.com. “This last season I’ve been following the series and it seems it has grown quite fast down there, so I’m looking forward to the races because last season was a challenge but we where able to come out with one win. “I made some great fans who have been following me all year and I’m excited to return. So, like I did last season, I’m bringing tons of stuff to give away and raffle off for the fans in Mexico–we’ve got some great stuff! Huge thanks to my supporters Alpinestars, Galfer, Drippin’ Wet, Arai, Freegun, SpeedCell, Renthal, InHouse Suspension Dunlop, my dad, Harry Lizarraga and also a big thanks to Luis Carrera from NC Racing for taking care of us and letting us race for his team once again.” Solis rode a Honda for M4 Motorcycle Road Racing during the 2013 AMA Pro Daytona SportBike season, with a best race finish of fourth. Riding the same Honda CBR600RR he is racing this weekend, Solis also won 17 races during three CVMA weekends at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway this season.
