BEi Racing/Dunlop Development Team Wins WERA Endurance Race, National Championship At Road Atlanta

2012 WERA NATIONAL ENDURANCE CHAMPIONS CROWNED! BEI Racing/Dunlop Development took the Overall 2012 WERA National Endurance Championship this weekend with another win at the Road Atlanta Round 4-hour on their Suzuki GSX-R1000. Second Overall for the season went to Vesrah Suzuki on their Suzuki GSX-R600 with Nick McFadden and Jimmy Merck riding and third overall for the season is MWR Investigations on their Suzuiki GSX-R 750 with Ian Tetrick, Cassidy Heiser and Kenny Martin riding. The Class Champions for 2012 are BEI Racing/Dunlop Development in the Heavyweight Superbike Class; Vesrah Suzuki in the Mediumweight Superbike Class and Team Kinetic in the Lightweight Superbike Class on their Suzuki SV 650. The final round saw BEI Racing/Dunlop Development in a battle with MWR Investigations for the first 3 hours, then MWR had a problem and BEI Racing/Dunlop Development went on to take the top spot with riders Opie Caylor, Tim Bemisderfer and team owner Billy Etheridge. Second went to TOBC Racing 2 on their Suzuki GSX-R 600 with Chuck Ivey, James Dellinger and Curtis Murray doing the riding for team owner Jon Couch; third was Shelby Cycle ATV on their Suzuki GSX-R 750 with riders Derek Bell, David Brooks, Derrick Cantrell, Jimmy Vanderhaar and Eric Murray. Class winners at the final round saw BEI for the Heavyweight Superbike Class; TOBC Racing 2 for the Mediumweight Superbike Class and Jolly Roger Racing on their Suzuki SV650 with riders Michael Bailey, William Brankin, William Hayes and Travis Richards. Lucas Oil sponsored two lucky teams with a $250.00 cash prize during a drawing held at Rider’s Meeting prior to the 4-hour. Winners in the Heavyweight Class were Golden Fiasco and Shelby Cycle & ATV; the Mediumweight winners Team Vesrah and CCF Office Solutions and in the Lightweight Class Team LP3 and Jolly Roger Endurance were the recipients of the cash. Saturday evening saw a great end to a good National Endurance Series when after the trophy presentations TOBC sponsored a BBQ catered by Hottie Hawg and music by Ducces Wild featuring WERA’s own Curtis Murray as lead singer.
