British SuperSport: Rispoli The Rocket Finishes Strong Top 5 in Brands Hatch Feature Race

April 21st, 2015, Daytona, FL – American racer James “The Rocket” Rispoli continues to impress the UK superbike world after two hard fought races at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit. The Team Traction Control’s rider who had finished 7th in qualifying managed to push his way to 5th in the Motorpoint British SuperSport Feature race and secure 11 more hard earned championship points.

Rispoli began the race weekend strong starting in row 3 of the lineup grid for Saturday’s short sprint race. Rispoli may not of had the package this day to win however his excellent race pace and constant pushing kept his machine on the limits in line and able to fight hard right up to the last lap, last turn. There he took advantage of a moment from the rider in front of him to seize the moment in an attempt to secure a 4th place finish. However, it was not to be as the young American lost the front and slid out of contention.

Rispoli’s race time in the sprint race earned him a row 2 start in the feature race on Sunday and again the American took advantage and shot to the sharp end of the pack immediately. With his Team Traction Control Yamaha R6 still not up to task of running up front he settled back and battled hard for a top 5 finish in the 20 lap main event. Overall this is clearly an improvement over Rispoli’s 2014 feature race at Donnington Park, where he placed 7th in round 1 of the championship.

“It all comes down to how badly you want to win; how driven you are to succeed.” Rispoli commented after the race. “I am 100 percent dedicated to being upfront and dedication is the most powerful force on Earth. Right now I have a ton of fans both here in the UK and at home in the States that force me to stay determined and push harder than ever each and every day. It is the support of my fans, my sponsors, and Team Traction Control that keeps me focused on the prize. I give all of my effort to make sure my performance both on and off the track reflects my appreciation to them. I am ready for battle every time I enter the track as I push forward in the championship and show my fans what their love means to me.”

With Oulton Park International scheduled on May 2nd, and a test there next week Rispoli said he will put all his focus and energy totally placed on conquering the next circuit and showing the world what hard work and dedication means to “The Rocket.”
