George Roeder Estate Collection

George was one of the top riders in the AMA Grand National Series during the 60’s riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He rode the KR to many dirt track wins and placed well in the road races. George also set the 250cc land speed record in 1965 riding a Sprint powered streamliner. He was voted the Most Popular Rider in 1963 and 1965 and always had a warm smile for the folks he met at the track right up to the day that we lost him last May.

George’s widow, Jessie, has sent much of George’s lifelong collection of racing memorabilia to be sold at Daytona. We have a large inventory including his Harley Leathers, trophies, steel shoe, and letters from prominent motorcycle people, racing posters from the 60’s signed by George, Mert Lawill, Bart Markel and other national heroes. We even have some signed Evel Knievel posters, as well as boxes of clothing, racing magazines back to 1950, old photographs and mountains of items that George saved. George wanted his fans to have this collection.

Jimmy Hill Collection

Jimmy Hill worked in the Indian factory in engineering and served on the racing team. When they closed the plant in Springfield, Massachsetts, Jimmy saved wonderful original photographs, prints, and historic documents from the dumpster. We have racing photos, articles, and memorabilia from the teens through the fifties. This collection is now a major piece of American Motorcycle History.
