Mark Miller competing in the Macau Grand Prix this year aboard the Superbikelife.com Suzuki 1000 will be wearing the latest in superbike safety gear. ACT Racing, one of the newest leather manufactures in the paddock, has supplied Mark with one of their latest suits to hit the market. “We build suits to the same specs as some of the larger name companies in the sport,” said Andy Chung owner of ACT Racing, ” we just offer them at a true privateer price.” “Mark is one of the highest finishing Americans at Macau and we are privileged to have him wearing our product.” Miller’s strong finishes include 4th in ’98, 4th in ’99, and 3rd in 2000. This makes Mark tied with the late Randy Renfrow who finished 3rd in 1986, and Shawn Higbee finished 3rd in 1997. The highest finishing American since Kevin Schwantz won a race there in 1988. We wish Mark the best of finishes while he is in Macau representing our sport and our country. ACT Racing has had a lot of input from top AMA Superbike riders in building their suits and says their effort to continue to keep the sport safe and affordable will grow. Their current rider line up includes Jack Pfeifer, from Las Vegas. Pfeifer well known as being super fast around local tracks is most notably known for finishing 4th in the 2004 Daytona 200. Scott “Scooter” Jensen, one of the most consistent top privateers in the AMA Superbike series has been a part of the ACT Racing family since the start and he will continue to wear ACT Racing leathers in 2006. Look for a few local talents to be ripping up the tracks in 2006 wearing ACT Racing safety equipment. In 2006 ACT Racing leathers will be exclusively available through Superbike City, owned by Rodney Rayborne, crew chief for Marty Craggill of the Mat Mladin Motorsports racing team. Rodney was Miller’s engine builder in 1999 at Attack Racing which is how the support for Mark came about.
