The Team Yamaha Motor France – Ipone tested during two days at Lausitz. The top speed was 4 kph faster due to improvement on the airbox. An important work was done also on the suspensions. This test session was difficult because of high temperature, a dirty track and lack of spare parts after the Silverstone crashes. “We are partly happy, but not disappointed,” said team manager Martial Garcia. Using qualifying tyres did not have the result that was expected because of the heat and the lack of grip due to the dirty track. Norick Abe did not find easily the right set up. Shinichi Nakatomi will be at Misano, but it is too early to know if he will be able to race in Italy because of his broken radius at Silverstone.
