About The Suzuki World Cup At Road Atlanta…

Braselton, GA (Oct. 14, 2004) – The 2004 Suzuki Worldwide GSX-R Cup Final kicked off last night with a welcome dinner for all the riders and team representatives from Suzuki distributors around the world. The World GSX-R Cup is taking place in the United States for the first time and will be held in conjunction with the WERA Grand National Final at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA.

The Worldwide GSX-R Cup is an event that involves the top privateer riders from around the world who compete and qualify on Suzuki GSX-R’s. There are twenty-three riders from twelve countries represented in this year’s Worldwide GSX-R Cup and each country has sent one to three riders to compete.

The competitors in this event will be riding identically prepared 2004 GSX-R750s that are stock except for a race fairing, seat and side protection, Yoshimura racing exhaust silencer (Tri-Oval SLIP-ON), Goodridge brake lines, Vesrah brake pads, and Dunlop race tires. The teams are allowed limited adjustments to the riding position, suspension and injection settings.
