AMA Superstock practice is underway at Infineon Raceway, 10 minutes late due to track workers and AMA Pro Racing officials drying the track. Workers used a variety of methods to dry the track, including: circulating in safety vehicles, brooms, leaf blowers and a propane-fueled flame thrower to dry small spots on the track. The 30-minute session was red-flagged halfway through due to a crash. Aaron Yates’ Yoshimura Suzuki and another red motorcycle were seen being brought in on the crash truck. When the session resumed, Yates was on track. 10 minutes later the session was red-flagged again. The cause of the second red flag was not known at post time.
