AMA Pro Superbike racer, ATM entrepreneur and reality show hopeful Johnny Rock Page says he plans on September 1 to release a video announcement of his next project running for the office of President of the United States. Page, a privateer on the AMA Pro Racing circuit, says he is finalizing the video that will be unveiled on that date, explaining how the idea of running for the presidency came to him, and what he plans to do. Page, well-known to the readers of Roadracing World, says the bid for office has nothing to do with his personal ambitions he is merely answering a higher calling for the betterment of the country. “It had nothing to do with me. I had no interest in it,” Page told Roadracing World in a telephone interview Wednesday. “It had nothing to do with politics, zero to do with being President of the United States. I don’t pay attention to politics. I don’t even vote. People with suits don’t interest me. “But when God has a plan for you, you find out in a way that you know it comes from God. (This) creates a chance for Americans to come together and to move this country forward in a positive manner. It will create unity and restore democracy for all of us. From what I’ve gathered, people don’t have a lot of belief in our system. I’m looking forward to sharing this gift to the American people.” Page reiterated in the interview that he is following the direction of a higher power, and that his plan is not his plan at all. “This is not about me. I’m being guided. This is a gift coming to the United States of America through me,” Page says. “You could say that I’m a messenger of our times. I’ve run a Mack truck through sin. For whatever reason, I’ve been chosen for this task. What we do with it as Americans if we can do that, we’ll be given an incredible gift.”
