On Saturday, September 19th, a team of Northern California based AFM (American Federation of Motorcyclists) racers and affiliates made their way down to Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, CA for the 6th Annual M1GP 24 Hour Charity Race. The 7 man team named “If This is Grom, I Don’t Want to be Right” piloted a 2014 Honda Grom and raised money for the Roadracing World Action Fund. The team was comprised of Joe Salas, Eric Kondo, Gordon Pull, Jim Williams, Tomas Covinha, Todd Chamberlain, and Andrew Lee. At the conclusion of the race, the team had successfully completed 1345 laps, held the race lap record of 55.714 set by team member Andrew Lee, and won overall by a margin of 19 laps against 10 other competitors. Gordon Pull, team captain, stated,”19 laps may seem like a lot, but our competitors kept us honest the entire event. We’re excited to come back down next year. Thanks to Young Lee and the entire M1GP crew for having us!”

The team would like to thank the following sponsors for their support in this endeavor: Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning, K-Tech Suspension USA, Galfer USA, Cycle Gear, 4theriders, Tech Spec, Roadracing World, and Twelv51 Studios. Also special thanks go out to all the individuals who donated to the Roadracing World Action Fund to help meet and exceed the team’s requirement to participate.
