Always dreamed about motorcycles when I was a kid. I finally got a brand new Kaw ZX-6R in 2003. Got in a head-on collision after the first month of riding it. At the time, it was too expensive to replace all the OEM cosmetic damage I did to the bike, so I just turned in to a track bike and started racing. I LOVE racing. I don't do it because I think its cool. I don't do it for cool-guy points. I do it because I absolutely LOVE it!
After the end of the season in 2005 with WMRRA, I had to take a break. I'm in the Army also, so I had to take a big break from the sport. Its now 2012, and I'm finally able to get back in. I took Ed Bargy's racing school and learned a lot that I'm taking to the track this year. I'm, though older, much more competitive now than I was in 2005. I figured out a lot of things about riding that have transitioned to the track, and made me a much smoother, more consistent rider.
That being said, I want to finish in the top 10 at every race this year, qualify for the nationals, and place in the top 15 there. Like I said, I love this sport, and plan to race till I can't do it anymore!
Racing at Barber was phenomenal. Placing 8th in the rain though, was pretty awesome. I'm REALLY looking forward to this year, and know that I'm going to do pretty well.
Place in the top five at all events, qualify for and finish in the top 10 at the nationals, and earn status as an expert.
