After obtaining my M1 license in 2004, six months into riding I was involved in my first, single vehicle, motorcycle road accident that left me with a shattered ankle caused by target fixation and lack of riding skills in the canyon roads. Little did I know that that accident would forever change my life—while bed ridden in the hospital, I vowed I would never crash unprotected ever again and do everything I can to enhance my riding skills. Immediately after I was fully healed I enrolled in cornering schools and attended numerous trackdays.
My love and passion for track riding was slowly diminishing so I gave racing a try in 2010 and immediately my love for riding was reignited. I influenced all my trackday friends into racing, and helped form a local motorcycle community forum (www.socalmoto.org) which has grown to be one of southern California’s biggest motorcycle community forums. In addition, the forum also serves as CVMA’s official discussion forum for racers.
