I've been riding street bikes since 2001 and grew up riding dirt bikes as a kid. I got by first street bike in 2001 which was a Honda CBR600 F4i. I ended up taking that to the track a few times before totaling it on the street. I got hooked on the track and kept going back with every bike I purchased over the years. I've been apart of the Colorado Sportbike Club since 2001 and I have been a moderator on the forum for the last 6 years.
I have been riding on the track since I got my first streetbike, a 2001 Honda CBR F4i, back in 2001. I’ve ridden at High Plains Raceway, where I have gotten instruction from many seasoned racers, Pikes Peak International Raceway, Pueblo Motorsports Park, Second Creek Raceway and IMI in Erie, Colorado. In 2013 I got my race license for the last round at PPIR, a track I have never ridden on. In my first race, I started 17th on the grid and finished in 4th place in the Novice GTO class against other racers that have been in it all season. My 2nd race was in the Open Endurance class where I started 16th and finished 11th against some of the fastest guys in Colorado. In my first race in the 2013 season I placed 1st in the Novice GTO class. I was 4th in points for Novice GTO half way through my first season before I had to quit racing because of money issues. 2017 I’ll be in the expert class and be able to race in more classes and race with some of the fastest Colorado has to offer. It will be a difficult task, but I’m up for the challenge.
