40 years holding on to handlebars... Longer than most of my road race competitors have been alive.I started racing off-road dirt in 1975 with the Florence, KS Grand Prix, a 100-mile, using a 10 mile loop, combo street (dirt and paved) and off road trail race. I raced for 10 years, competing in Motocross, Enduro, Scrambles, and Observed Trials events with good success.
In 1990 I made my way to the paved track for the first time as a student with Reg Pridmore’s “Class”. Wow loved the freedom on the track. I spent the next 12 years riding a couple of times a year on tracks around the country with the Pridmores, first with Reg, then with Jason. Many people say, “Man you are so smooth”. I attribute it to Jason Pridmore’s guidance and advice (one summer I think I did 4-5 classes around the country with the STAR program on a 1977 R75/7). Early off road dirt experience and riding '70's rubber cow BMW’s at speed force smooth.
In 2009 I received my Amateur Racing License and moved to Expert Status in 2011.
I started a road race team for ladies in 2011. G-Baby Racing Endurance Team. The goal was to provide ladies who wouldn't normally get support with good equipment, excellent trackside assistance, and an environment for them to cultivate winning ways. In 2013 G-Baby won a National Endurance Championship. The first North American ladies team to ever do so.
