A very interesting article about the myths of the Paleo Diet. At FTM, we believe in some of the principles of a Paleo approach and have seen the benefits of this approach with many of our customers. However, we also believe that many of the diet's assumptions are not necessarily correct. What we think is more important is this approach to eating makes people more aware of what they ingest and cut their sugar intake and that's a good thing. We are big proponents of "one size doesn't fit all". For example, many don't need to eat as much meat protein as the Paleo diet suggests. In fact, we know many vegetarians and vegans who are not only healthy but also thrive as competitive athletes. In the end it's a matter of being aware of what you eat and caring about your body in the process. Educate yourself and experiment ... you'll reap huge benefits through better health and optimum performance.
